Easy and Simple - Rustic strawberry pie


5 cups strawberries rinsed and sliced

1/2 cup to 1 cup sugar depending on sweetness of berries

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2 tsp salt


2 pie crusts

roll out one crust for the bottom. Place in pie plate

put strawberries into the crust

roll out second dough and place on top crimping edges

It doesn't have to be perfect I prefer a more rustic imperfect crust

vent slats in the top crust with a sharp knife

sprinkle sugar on top

for this recipe I used pre made crusts

( I like to use the already made pie crusts(when I'm in a hurry) from Whole Foods also Earth Fare)

they are buttery and delicious

Bake at 425 or preferred temp for your crust until bubbly and golden

(about 50 minutes)

You cant go wrong with this recipe its the perfect summer pie , easy and so yummy !
