~ new beginnings .... welcome spring ~

And welcome to my new website/blog!

What better time than spring to launch this new adventure. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be writing a blog about our journey to a simpler life. So first and foremost thank you to every one of you from Instagram that have encouraged me along the way - it is truly appreciated.

Springtime is very special to me . And I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from around our garden. My mom and I have a garden every year and usually start planting in March.

St Patrick's day is the day we plant our peas (weather permitting) ever since I can remember. Even as a kid we had a garden. It truly is one of life's simple pleasures. I think the planting of a garden gives hope and something to look forward to.

You plant the seed, water it, nurture it and wait for it to grow, and in the end enjoy the fruits of your labor. It is in fact very similar to our journey that led us here to our little farm house in the country.

Our journey started 7 years ago when we purchased a 7 acre clover field in the country .
It was a dream ... it took many years to cultivate the dream, a lot of planning and loads of patience. From paying off the land to saving for the many expenses along the way. We desired a simpler life, slow paced life, a back to basics way of living.

And here we are ! Every dream, every plant starts with a seed, an idea. No dream is to big or to small.. so I say plant your dreams, nurture and cultivate them ... and enjoy !

  6. Oh Angie, this already looks beautiful. I follow you on Instagram and yours is one of my very favourite accounts. Your home and lifestyle are so inspiring and whilst my house isn't as beautiful as yours (yours is how my dream home looks! One day maybe when the boys have grown up and moved out!)
I try to implement and recreate your sense style here in our home in England, I find a white/grey, clean uncluttered home so calming and when my home is a crazy mess (those boys againπŸ˜‰!) I find looking at your home on Instagram and now your blog calms the soul!
Good luck with the blog, I'll definitely keep popping by.
